Hi all, I have a serious back injury after buying my medical insurance, Do I need to inform my agent?
Hi Jennifer! Hope you are feeling better now. If the medical insurance you are referring to is Integrated Shield Plan then there are a few questions you need to take note of:
1)Did you admit to the hospital?
2)Is your back injury resulting from an accident? And you received treatment in the hospital.
If both questions are “No” then you don’t have to inform your agent. Hope that clears your doubt!

thank you, the plan was bought many years ago.
thank you, yes I was admitted and had a surgery. If i inform my agent will I be unable to claim again for my back injury in the future?
Glad to hear that you are feeling better now. It depends on how long your shield plan post-hospitalisation covers you. If it happens again within that period and you need to go back to the hospital for treatment/consultation etc then you will be covered. Otherwise, you won’t be covered after the post-hospitalisation period is over.
What is the difference between private or public shield plan?
What do you mean by public shield plan?
If it’s convenient for you, you can go this link (https://whotoengage.sg/financial-consultant/chee_shiang/) and click “Contact Me” then we can arrange a time for me to explain all the questions you have in mind to you face to face. I think that way will be easier for you to understand.
is it free review?
Yes. You can rest assured that it will be a free review.
